The HMAS Melbourne is an important part of Australian Navy History. Decommissioned in 2019 The HMAS Melbourne was remembered for being apart of Australia's largest Naval disaster when it collided with another ship the HMAS Voyager.
I personally met a member of the crew (Percy) that was on the ship that day and his story and stories involving the HMAS Melbourne brought me to painting to this point - 2 paintings of the HMAS Melbourne, and this is one of them.
